Demand for taxis can be especially high in the early morning or during the evening, so it's advisable to book in advance whenever possible.

Aircrew Memorial

Aircrew Memorial

The Allied Aircrew Memorial located outside Guernsey Airport Terminal Building, is in memory of 153 Allied Aircrew who lost their lives in Bailiwick waters. The average age of the airmen was 24.

The names of the 153 casualties are listed on plaques around the base of the memorial structure, which features seven planes (a Boeing B17 and six Spitfires). A memorial ceremony is held in September each year to remember the airmen, which involves a fly-past and wreath laying.
