Safety and aviation security is part of everything we do and is effectively managed using Guernsey/Alderney Airport’s Safety and Security Management System (“SSeMS”).
The SSeMS is a framework which establishes and describes an integrated approach to effectively manage aviation safety, health and safety, aviation security and the management of risk on the aerodrome and in the air space delegated to Guernsey by Jersey.
The SSeMS has been developed and structured to comply with international safety and aviation security requirements. The Safety and Security Occurrence Reporting Scheme is a formal process for employees to report all accidents, incidents and hazards.
All Safety and Security Occurrence Reports must be filled utilising Centrik, Guernsey/Alderney Airport’s management system. All of the following Occurrences can be filed using the Centrik system:
Aviation Safety Occurrences.
Health and Safety Occurrences.
Aviation Security Occurrences.
Guernsey Reporting Scheme (Hazard Identification).
