Airport Electrician - PSE Grade F plus shift and consolidation pay allowances

The Airport Electrician post is part of the Electrical & Building Services Department at Guernsey and Alderney Airports. This section undertakes a full range of mechanical and electrical installations, maintenance and repair services encompassing all trades. These include Airfield lighting, Electrical/Mechanical plant, Vehicles electrical systems, Conveyor systems, Baggage X-ray machines, Standby Generator/ups system, and the control system associated to these systems. The section covers all Airport operational hours on a shift basis (05:30 - 21:00) daily as the airport is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. Shift times are 05:30 - 13:15 and 12:30 - 21:00. In return, the postholder will receive both basic pay plus a shift allowance and consolidation pay. The postholder will report to the Electrical and Building Services Manager.

Dive Superintendent - PSE Grade G

The Dive Superintendent will be responsible for managing and providing the safe operation of Guernsey Ports' commercial maritime dive team to include the management and supervision of the dive team to include planning and execution of diving projects undertaken in the harbour's marina`s and at sea. The postholder will have ultimate responsibility for the health and safety of the dive team preparing risk assessments and method statements and delivering team briefings. The postholder will also maintain strict document control along with compiling reports for internal and external audiences. To manage the maintenance records of all diving equipment and associated items.

Equipment Technician - PSE Grade F

The Equipment Technician will be responsible for assisting in the safe operation of Guernsey Harbours commercial dive team, which will include the servicing and repair of all diving equipment. The postholder will assist in the planning and execution of diving projects undertaken in the harbours, marinas and at sea. He/she will maintain other Ports plant and equipment as required. The postholder will maintain strict document control associated with the servicing of all dive and safety equipment.

Harbour Stores Person/Plant Operator - PSE Grade D

The postholder will manage and control the provision of maintenance materials and spare parts to Technical Services Team at the harbours and other Guernsey Ports departments. The postholder will receive, store, issue and report the traceability of all materials, finished products, PPE, consumables, and maintenance parts. The postholder will also handle and store all materials and equipment in compliance with requirements set out in datasheets, specifications, or dictated by local legislation e.g. Health & Safety.

Maintenance Technician/Plumber - PSE Grade F

The Maintenance Technician/Plumber will be a member of the Guernsey Ports Technical Services Team, which undertakes a full range of mechanical and electrical installations, building maintenance and repair services encompassing all trades across the Ports estates. The postholder is required to assist in various tasks across all areas in an ever-changing day to day role. This work includes building maintenance, the installation of new infrastructure and the maintenance of the Ports water safety management system.

Mechanical Fitter - PSE Grade F

The Mechanical Fitter will be a member of the Guernsey Ports Technical Services Team, which undertakes a full range of mechanical and electrical installations, building maintenance and repair services encompassing all trades across the Ports estates. The postholder is required to assist in various tasks across all areas in an ever-changing day to day role. This work includes building maintenance, the installation of new infrastructure and the maintenance of a range of plant and equipment on land and at sea.

Ports Training and Compliance Officer - EGIII - EGIV

The Ports Training and Compliance Officer will work for the Ports Safety and Compliance Department primarily for the delivery of a comprehensive and professionally operated internal audit and compliance monitoring regime with specific emphasis upon compliance with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the Office of the Director of Civil Aviation (Channel Islands) (The DCA), The Department for Transport (DfT), International Maritime Organization (IMO), the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Guernsey Shipping, Harbours and Maritime Legislation and other States of Guernsey requirements. In addition, the postholder will be responsible for the creation and delivery of a Guernsey Ports Training regime as required by the Ports' Safety and Compliance Department.
