FlyDirect launching direct flights to the Canary Islands
16th June 2025The growth in direct holiday destinations for residents of Guernsey continues, with the announcement that Channel Islands based tour operator, FlyDirect, will commence direct services to Gran Canaria this winter.
Highlights:
• FlyDirect to operate the first ever non-stop direct flights to Gran Canaria.
• Passengers will fly to Las Palmas Airport in under 4 hours.
• Flights to be operated using modern Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
• Departs every week for Christmas & New Year holidays as well as throughout January

As is the case for FlyDirect’s summer programme, Islanders will have the opportunity to book flights only or an inclusive holiday. There will be a wide variety of accommodation options available, in a choice of resorts, appealing to families as well as adults travelling without children.
