Loganair launches direct route from Edinburgh to Guernsey
2nd June 2025Loganair, the UK’s leading regional airline, has re-established direct flights to Guernsey with the launch of a new Edinburgh service.
Loganair’s return to Guernsey was celebrated with a water cannon salute, as the airline’s new Guernsey-Edinburgh route took off this weekend.
The weekly route is Loganair’s first Guernsey service since 2019, re-establishing the island’s links with the UK’s largest regional airline for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic.
James Underwood, head of commercial for Guernsey Ports, said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Loganair ahead of their return to Guernsey. “Loganair’s new weekend service complements the existing midweek services operated by Aurigny and further improves connectivity between Guernsey and Edinburgh.
"Whether it’s for business or leisure, this new weekly service provides more choice and more versatility for people travelling between our island and the Scottish capital.
"Working with our airline partners, Guernsey Ports is focussed on increasing travel options for people locally and promoting Guernsey as a destination for visiting travellers.”
Luke Lovegrove, chief commercial officer for Loganair, said: "We are thrilled that we’ve been able to launch a new direct service between Scotland’s capital city and the beautiful island of Guernsey.” The new summer service runs every Saturday until 13 September."
The inbound flight is scheduled to depart Edinburgh at 16.10 and arrive in Guernsey at approximately 18:10. The return service takes off at 18:40, landing in Edinburgh at around 20:45.
Loganair’s local ground handling agent, Aurigny, also runs a weekly service between Guernsey and Edinburgh on Wednesdays. The timing of the two services – one midweek, one at the weekend – is complementary, providing more opportunities for short breaks or long weekend trips.
