Though new to the island, SiXT has quickly made its mark by focusing on high-quality vehicles and a customer-first approach.
The local SiXT franchise is operated by Van Mossel Jacksons, combining leading international standards with significant experience of the local market.

Meet the team behind the wheel
It’s the people behind SiXT who truly drive the experience:
- Kelly, one of the two Retail Sales Agents, is known for her bubbly personality and exceptional local knowledge. A mother of four, she brings a warm and personable touch to e
very customer interaction, especially for those unfamiliar with the island. - Riccardo, originally from Northern Italy, brings his vibrant hospitality experience and love for Guernsey to the team. His Italian charm and go-to tips for island restaurants always leave customers smiling.
- James, the Branch Manager, brings 25+ years of customer service and leadership experience. He’s made it his mission to deliver top-tier service and bring a dash of humour to the office—especially when cake is involved (he’s partial to butter icing, we’re told!).
A typical day at SiXT
Every day brings something different. From tracking incoming flights and prepping vehicles to giving personalised recommendations, the SiXT team adapts to meet the unique needs of each customer.
“We love being the first point of contact for so many visitors,” says Riccardo. “That first ‘Welcome to Guernsey’ moment really matters.”
Behind the scenes, the team is constantly working to keep the fleet in pristine condition while also managing reservations, tracking flight updates, and offering guidance - even when it’s not directly related to car hire.
A local touch (and a few laughs)
Customer service is at the heart of SiXT’s success. Whether it’s helping navigate unexpected travel changes or recommending the best spot for Guernsey crab, the team’s knowledge goes far beyond rental contracts.
And there have been a few funny moments along the way, like ordering their uniforms in the wrong sizes - thanks to a mix-up between UK and EU sizing. “Let’s just say the photos didn’t make it to the socials,” laughs James.
Growing fast, thinking forward
In just a few short months, SiXT has already built a loyal customer base with plenty of repeat bookings. Always listening to feedback, the team has recently expanded their offering with four new vehicle models added to the fleet.
