Guernsey Airport is beginning work this week to improve the appearance and contours of the grass safety area to the west of the airport. Dependent on weather, the work is expected to take up to five weeks using agricultural equipment, primarily tractors and ploughs. They will mostly operate during the day. Alderney Airport Fire Fighter Neil Shaw receives his 20 year long service medal from Guernsey Fire Service Manager Tom De Carteret.
