Terminal Facilities

1. Lifts to all floors (with wheelchair capability)

2. Wheelchairs (we have a number of attendant assist chairs along with a child wheelchair).

3. Accessible toilets with help buttons/cords (Two accessible toilets are situated in the Landside concourse, one upstairs in the viewing lounge and one on the ground floor. One in the Departure Lounge and one in the Arrivals Hall.)

4. Baby changing facilities

5.  Access from car park to aircraft (through the terminal, security and into the Departure Lounge) is all on one level.

Car Park Facilities

1. Help buttons on entry barriers

2. Six reserved spaces for 'Blue Badge' holders in the main car park.

For security reasons vehicles cannot be left unattended at the front of the Passenger Terminal.

Passengers with reduced mobility or disabilities and requiring assistance may be dropped off at the departure entrance to the main concourse where help will be provided by airport staff to help passengers to check-in if required.

Security

The security screening prior to departures is located on the ground floor close to the lifts. Airline staff will assist as required from this point to onboard the aircraft.

Please show and alert security staff to any medications or medical equipment that you are carrying and require for your flight prior to security screening.

If you are able to stand unaided, then you will be invited to enter our body scanner by security staff. The body scanner is used if a more detailed scan is required following the security archway. Arrangements for wheelchair users will remain unchanged.

You will enter the security area after your boarding pass has been scanned. Once you have been security screened, you will have the choice to leave security via the duty free shop or via a separate door. Please let security staff know which option you would prefer.

You can go to our passenger information tab on the home page and view security/liquids on the drop down, this will prepare you for security and any liquid requirements.

Reserved seating for those needing assistance

There is a seating area in departures reserved for anyone requiring assistance. It has been placed at the end of the departure lounge, where there is less noise.  Thanks to a donation from Alderney Cancer Relief there are two recliner seats to ensure comfortable seating is available for those who might need it. This area also has toilets and a free public water fountain nearby.

Staff will be able to direct or take you to this area. It's likely you will be boarding the aircraft first before other passengers so please follow any instructions of staff before you leave departures.

Assistance on arrival

Airline staff will be available on arrival from the aircraft through arrivals and baggage reclaim to the main terminal concourse. Airport staff will provide assistance from arrivals hall to the bus stop, taxi rank, or private vehicle pick up.
